Step It Up!

More action with today’s post — page 2 of Shawn Pryor and Julian Lytle’s short “Remember the Crime“. The concluding page will post on Friday, August 13.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT:
Julian Lytle

shawnHailing from the nation’s capital, Julian’s work bridges the traditions of 70s poster artists like Robert McGinnis, Mitchell Hooks, Joseph Caroff, contemporary urban and pop culture with a line culled from classic fashion illustration. His “Guns and Honey” art series is inspired by the intersection of beauty and danger: the woman. When he’s not crafting up dangerous women, Julian is making “Ants,” (http://ants.julianlytle.com) a weekly webcomic satirizing pop culture. Off the Firewall

Today marks the beginning of yet another Summer Short! Panda Force is proud to present “Remember the Crime“, written by Shawn Pryor with pencils by Julian Lytle, and inks/colors/letters by Sean Causley. The next page in this “thriller” will post on Wednesday, August 11.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT:
Shawn Pryor

shawnShawn is the founder, creator, writer, waterboy, and manager of operations for PKD Media,  http://pkdmedia.com. Inspired by his love of comic books, he dove head first into the art by writing his first series, the buddy-cop comedy Mercury & The Murd in 2008. That led him to create/write several additional titles for PKD Media since then. Every single day he tries to come up with new ways to take over the comics and media world; tries to put the emphasis of putting fun back into the comic book medium, and in his spare time ponders if he’s related to the late-great comedian with whom he shares the same last name.

It’s All So Clear Now!

Today’s Panda Force page wraps up the short story “Stranger in a Strange Land“, from guest creators Thane Benson and Michael Axt. The next short will begin on Friday, August 6.

Below are Michael’s awesome concept sketches for Assassin X. Thane and I were blown away by these and knew this was going to be an instant classic Panda Force character.

Strange Stuff Hapenin’…

Today’s post is page 2 (of 3) of the short story “Stranger in a Strange Land“, by guest creators Thane Benson and Michael Axt. The concluding page will post on Wednesday, August 4.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT:
Michael Axt

axtMichael Axt was born with a cheese steak in one hand and a pencil in the other.  At the tender age of 5 he drew his first picture of Spider-Man which has blossomed into a surprisingly healthy spandex fetish.  After learning everything he possibly could in just one year at the Savannah College of Art and Design, he decided his efforts were better suited in restaurants bringing overpriced entrees to overweight tourists.  All the while honing his artistic skills to a rather dull edge.  He now splits most of his time between drawing and raising Panda Force agent Elyse Pompei-Axt.  Oh and he also really likes chicken wings.
